Dubai, UAE – Dubai Civil Defence Global Safety Initiative undertakes the very bold step! That’s towards creating a total change in fire safety awareness across the world through its (1 Billion Readiness). Running for 2025-2027, it intends to equip a billion people with the basic concepts of fire prevention and emergency response competencies.
It is a movement joined by 34 countries and 18 leading firefighting associations, which the UAE leads. Drawn from expert knowledge, state-of-the-art training, and strategic partnerships – this movement gives way to better prevention and response against fire hazards within all communities globally.
The (Hope Convoys) project will enhance fire safety in developing nations – which is an important part of the Global Safety Initiative. It is a humanitarian enterprise! It will provide firefighting equipment and build modern fire stations. Additionally, upgrading emergency response at places where resources are limited.
Supplying necessary tools and encouraging international collaboration, (Hope Convoys) aids communities – to defend against fire hazards. It ensures faster response times, better-prepared teams, and stronger safety networks.
Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum emphasized that it is an important tool. That’s especially true in aiding countries with dire needs for fire safety.
Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Director General of Dubai Civil Defence, drove the Dubai Civil Defence Global Safety Initiative in the multi-layered approach. That’s toward making the world a safer place. The (1 Billion Readiness) program will engage in: global campaigns, digital platforms, and targeted outreach to spread lifesaving fire prevention knowledge.
The initiative has ensured that such vital information on safety reaches the majority of the world’s diverse communities through advanced technology and effective communication.
The Global Safety Initiative brings together individuals, government entities, companies, and educational institutions – to help increase fire safety awareness. (1 Billion Readiness) is a program of entrenching a culture of prevention so that safety becomes everybody’s concern.
Engagement with various stakeholders has helped the initiative to build stronger and more resilient communities. They are fully equipped with knowledge and resources to address fire hazards through effective prevention and response strategies.
The highly recognized Global Wildfire Monitoring Centre and the Dubai Civil Defence Readiness Programme will award the participants. Those who complete the program with electronic certificates. This certification would be a hall mark of commitment to fire safety and global preparedness. This means, as Dubai Media said, international recognition is assured to those committed for fire prevention.
The program, as part of the Dubai Civil Defence Global Safety Initiative, will initiate awareness campaigns throughout the UAE.
